Cem Avcı is a Professor of Civil Engineering at Boğaziçi University. His research interests are in the fields of Sustainability in Infrastructure Projects, Environmental and Social Impact assessments, Soil and Ground Water Quality Investigations and Remediation projects as well as Waste Management Studies.
Mr. Avcı provides environmental, health and safety, social consulting services to the financial and industrial sectors in Turkey. He has worked with many of the Turkish 500 companies as well as Multinational Firms operating in Turkey. He provides support to their Clients for managing the sustainability challenges. He has more than 30 years of expertise working with clients in diverse industry sectors to help them to understand and manage their environmental, health, safety, risk and social impacts. The sectors that he provides services include Oil & Gas, Power, Manufacturing, Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.
His depth of experience, strong academic background and interaction with leading scientific institutions as well as multinational consulting firms allows him to correctly assess the Turkish and International basis for sustainability in order to provide a high level of service to his clients.
